ANZAC DAY March / Parade / Service Led by Full Band of The YEA PIPES and DRUMS, and The YEA MEMORIAL RIFLES, Ceremonial 21 GUN SALUTE: REMEMBRANCE DAY SERVICE @ YEA CENOTAPH, Assisted by a Contingent of Soldiers of The Broadford Army Cadet Unit, a 3 Shot GUN SALUTE by a YEA MEMORIAL RIFLES Rifleman:

Rotary Club of Yea

The Rotary Club of Yea was admitted to Rotary International on May 1st of 1986. With an initial membership of 23, the Charter was presented in Yea Shire Hall on July 5 1986, under the guidance of Reg Scott of Molesworth; the District Governor’s special representative. The Rotary Club of Alexandra sponsored the Yea club. A leading role in this sponsorship was played by three Rotarians; Reg Scott, Roy Fox and Bill Hewitt. Of the original Charter group, two are still members; Gary Fitzgerald and Les Hall.

Our sponsor Roy Fox is still a regular guest. Alexandra members, John Sinclair and Doug Zerbe, were inducted into Yea in that year and also remain members. In 2010/2011 we have 35 members, nine of whom are women.

Yea Country Womens Association

Country Women Association (CWA) has been going for 85 years in Victoria this year. Yea CWA is 75 years this year. Craft day 3rd Thursday Meetings 4th Thursday We Raise funds for local groups in the community.

Yea NHW also is involved @ Yea Autumn Fest, Supplying Safety initiatives / Kid’s Colouring Comp / Blue Ribbon Support / Devonshire Teas / Police Reports / info. Yea NHW has for many years, been Renewing / Supplying Household Fleuro Kerb Numbering for a small donation to cover costs, and as it was seen as a Fantastic initiative of Yea Neighbourhood Watch to assist Police / Ambulance / Fire Brigades and S E S, to locate premises @ night, Yea CFA now assists us on an as required basis.

Yea N H W is also a group that is able to assist RED CROSS in emergency siuations.
